26/10/06 (UK): Judgment of Solomon? Meadow Case Resolved. The Court of Appeal has handed down its judgment in the GMC (Meadow) case, and it seems to amount to something of a judgment of Solomon, with both sides expressing their satisfaction with the result. So what are the implications for experts?........

14/10/06 (UK): Iraq Correspondent Unlawfully Killed. A coroner has ruled that ITN reporter Terry Lloyd was unlawfully killed by US troops. During the hearing, a forensic expert gave evidence that he believed about 15 minutes of video footage had been edited out - presumably by the US military who had provided it......

9/10/06 (US): Accountant Simplifies Things For The Enron Jury. Paul Regan, a forensic accountant, has provided three full days of videotaped testimony in the impending civil trials against former Enron executives and the banks that allegedly helped them commit massive accounting fraud.......

2/10/06 (UK): Echoes of Meadow? Yet another warning to experts that objectivity is the watchword. A doctor accused by a senior judge of peddling "junk science" as an expert witness in a court case is facing action by the General Medical Council which could strip her of the right to practise......

2/10/06 (US): California's Executions Procedure Attacked. A new challenge under the Constitution has been made in California that the State’s executions procedure by lethal injection is haphazard, amateurish and with little medical oversight.......
