05/05/06 (US): Man died from heart disease, not 27 stab wounds A lesson for experts in how not to give evidence? A defence Expert Witness not only gave startling evidence for the Defence but also attempted to give legal opinion……

30/04/06 (Eire): Dissenting Experts The manslaughter trial of Dermot Laide was dramatically halted when the prosecution's pathologist refused to agree with her predecessor's findings. Dr Marie Cassidy had replaced Dr John Harbinson due to the latter's ill-health, resulting in the case being withdrawn.........

23/04/06 (UK): Will fingerprint expert be gagged? When former PC Shirlie McKie was falsely accused of deliberately leaving her fingerprint at a crime scene, she sued the Scottish Executive. The case was settled following a £750,000 pay-out but rumbles on politically as the findings of an independent fingerprint expert are yet to be made available to the Parliamentary Inquiry set up in its wake.......

22/04/05 (British Virgin Islands): BVI authorities to review diving death 7 years ago a US diver, Shelley Tyre, died whilst diving with her partner in the Caribbean. In the absence of evidence of foul play, the authorities stated that it was a tragic accident. However, expert evidence seems to show otherwise......
