Introduction to Veterinary & Comparative Forensic Medicine

Blackwell Publishing, Oxford.

John and Margaret Cooper are currently preparing a book on the above subject which is scheduled to appear later this year.

The book will reflect the increasing demand for expert opinion by veterinarians and others in courts and elsewhere on such matters as wildlife conservation; welfare of (and alleged cruelty to) animals; insurance and certification and the identification of live and dead protected species or their derivatives. It will also discuss and analyse current concern over possible links between domestic violence and abuse of animals.

Throughout the book the emphasis will be on the need for a systematic, thorough and comparative approach to such work. A particular feature will be practical advice, with protocols on dealing with common forensic problems, together with case studies, various appendices and an extensive bibliography.

This publication will no doubt be of interest to many. For further information please contact:
